Dr. Edward C. "Teddy Bear" Bichon Bichon Sr., 88, of Paducah died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday at Superior Care Home in Paducah.

He was in practice with his brother, Dr. Marion T. Bichon, and was an area dentist for more than 40 years. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II as a dentist. He was a 1932 graduate of St. Mary High School and a graduate of Loyola University of the South in New Orleans. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah.

Surviving are one daughter, Sally B. Sanders of Benton; one son, Edward Charles Bichon Jr. of Bossier City, La.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lunelle Meacham Bichon. His parents were Charles Edward and Gertrude McCutchen Bichon.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. James Rivett will officiate. Burial will be private.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
