SEAGROVE - John Reitzel Ferree Sr., 94, of Fork Creek Mill Road, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Richard Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Old Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Guilford County, retired from Holiday Inn, where he worked as a maintenance engineer, and was a member of Community Baptist Church. He was previously employed with Russell Hosiery Mills and other hosiery mills, had been an aircraft mechanic in Langley Field, Va., and attended Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving are son, John Reitzel Ferree Jr. of Seagrove; daughter, Mona Rae Chriscoe of Seagrove; sister, Elizabeth Rogers of High Point; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home.
