Evelyn Marguerite Cockley Schussler 86 of Colerain died Friday November16, 2012 at Liza's place Wheeling after a courageous fight with breast cancer. She was born and raised in Somerset County PA., on February 1, 1926, daughter of the late Eber and Marguerite (Lepley) Cockley.
She was a 60 year member of Colerain Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder and Deacon. She had a very strong faith. She was active in Ohio State PTA. She volunteered at OVMC for over 20 years, and was active in the hospital auxiliary. A 1947 graduate of Heidelberg College, She married Dale M. Schussler in 1949.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale M. Schussler in 2001.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Christine (Gary) Schrickel of St. Clairsville, a son Fred (Linda) Schussler of Akron, eleven grandchildren Brian (Andrea), and Brady (Danielle) Schrickel, Ben (Jessi), Andy, Caleb (Amber), Tim, Jake, Charlie, and Rachel Schussler, Halley (Chad) Shumway, and Cara Cooper, seven great grandchildren Claire, Lydia, Even, Lena, and Luke Schrickel, Brianna, and Cory Schussler.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Evelyn's life on Tuesday November 20, 2012 from 2-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. And then on Wednesday from 10 till time of service at 11 am at Colerain Presbyterian Church Colerain, with Rev. Joe Ellis officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
