Earl Harland, eldest son of Henry and Carrie
(Baird) Harland was born west of Frankfort
Kansas on January 23, 1892 and passed away
February 29, 1968, in the Community
Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas at
the age of 76 years, after a prolonged illness.
Earl was a farmer and spent his entire life in
this community. He was a member of the
First Presbyterian church and served many
years as an elder. He was a member of the
I.O.O.F. lodge.
Survivors include his wife Julia of the home;
one son, Francis Harland, Frankfort, Kansas,
three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Watkins,
Denver, Colorado, Mrs, Virginia Rickson,
Topeka, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Kems,
Millard, Nebraska; three sisters Mrs. Florence
Harry, Frankfort, Kansas, Mrs. Fannie Fry,
Salina, Kansas and Miss Maude Harland,
Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Charles Har-
land, Estero, Florida; three grandsons, six
granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted by the
Reverend Coyne Gifford at the First Presby-
terian Chuch on Sunday March 3, 1968 at
2:00 p.m.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
