Mrs. Carrie Porter Brice, 50 years of age, died at her home in Fort Worth, Texas, July 17, 1936, after an illness of about seven months. Funeral services were conducted at the Ft. Worth Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Saturday.
Mrs. Brice, a native of Winnfield, at the age of 18 years, married Homer Brice and later they moved to Fort Worth. To this union four children were born, three of whom survive with her husband. At the age of 16 years Mrs. Brice joined the Winnfield Baptist Church and moved her membership to Fort Worth, where she was a faithful member until her death.
Surviving are the widower; three children, Homer Dean, Elizabeth and Virginia, and two grandchildren, all of Fort Worth; two brothers, and two sisters, Howard Porter of Winnfield; Dave Porter of Kilgore, Texas; Mrs. Mae Craven of Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Ida Smith of Rio Honda, Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Porter and family attended the last rites which were conducted Saturday.
