Deceased Name: Charles R. Pease
Charles Ray Pease, born May 29, 1923 in Yoakum, Texas, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2007 in his Friendswood, Texas home at the age of 84. He grew up in Cheapside, Texas and graduated from Cuero High School in 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater from August 1943 to January 1946. He returned to San Antonio, Texas to raise his family and work for the Department of Defense at Kelly Air Force Base in the Logistics Support Division. He was baptized by Reverend Howard Hollowell on March 31, 1957 at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, where he was a member until his death. He was a member of Davy Crockett Masonic Lodge #1225 and Scottish Rite, and was active for many years in the Alzafar Shrine Temple. After retirement in 1978, he and his wife, Nora, traveled extensively in their Airstream trailer until moving to Friendswood in October 2005. Charles was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Ray Pease in 1977, and is survived by his loving wife of 59-1/2 years Nora, daughter Debra Pease of Friendswood, Texas, grandsons Michael and Thomas DeNicola, sister Marguerite Bowman of Hermitage, Arkansas, and brother Jeff Marshall of Pasadena, Texas. He was firmly committed to family and friends and he will be sorely missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday June 18, 2007 at Porter Loring Mortuary. SERVICE TUESDAY JUNE 19, 2007 1:00 P.M.
