Blondine Kicklighter "Bobbie" (Barnes)

HINESVILLE, Ga. - Blondine "Bobbie" Barnes Kicklighter left for heaven on July 23, 2009.
Mrs. Kicklighter was one of six children born to Dennis and Fannie Mae Beasley Barnes of Bulloch County on September 10, 1926. In June of 1946, she married Gerald Levon "Bill" Kicklighter, who preceded her to heaven in 1987.

They resided in Bulloch and Liberty counties throughout their lives. Mrs. Kicklighter retired from Georgia Natural Gas Company, where she was the office manager in Hinesville for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian churches of Statesboro and Hinesville throughout her life.

Mrs. Kicklighter is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Kicklighter Youmans and Don of Sunbury; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. "Jerry" Kicklighter and Pat of Walthourville; two granddaughters, Angel K. Dunham and Wynn and Candy K. Parker of Ludowici; one grandson, James B. "Barry" Ray of Hinesville; nine great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Hinesville First Presbyterian Church with Elder William Tidwell and Pastor Bob Bean officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Mickey Starling, Wynn Dunham, Clint Arnold, Jay Arnold, Greg Sikes and Moe Gill.

The graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bulloch Memorial Gardens in Statesboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hinesville First Presbyterian Christian Academy, 308 E. Court Street, Hinesville, GA 31313.
