Mrs. Sarah Martin, Mother of B.L. Berg, Dies at Brookville

Mrs. Sarah A. Beal Martin, 95 years old, mother of B. L. Berg of East Cedar Avenue, died at 5:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Brookville, where she lived with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C.V.Snader.

Mrs. Martin was a former resident of this city, having made her home with the Snaders when that family lived here. She had not been in good health for nearly a year but had been confined to her bed just about two weeks.

Mrs. Martin was twice married. In 1862 she wed Jacob R. Berg of Indian Head. His death occurred in 1877. To the union four children were born, two of whom survive. They are B. L. Berg and C. A. Berg, the latter of Erie. In 1880, Mrs. Berg married Peter Martin, and one child, Mrs. Snader, was born to them. Mr. Martin's death was in 1896. Mrs. Martin had been a member of the Methodist Protestant Church of this city for about 50 years.

The body was to be removed to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. L Berg by funeral Director C. B. Brooks of Indian Head. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
