She was born in Fort Blackmore, VA, was a former resident of Dungannon, VA for several years and had been a resident of Kingsport for the past thirty three years.
Mrs. Wagner retired from Holston Manor Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant after ten years of service. She was a member of New Covenant Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wagner; parents, S.J.E. and Pearl Gilbert La Force; one brother, John La Force, two sisters, Esther La Force and Lois Wood.
Surviving are her daughters, Anita Ballinger and husband, Dan of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Gallagher of Clemson, S.C., Julia Bailey and husband, Mitchell of Stevenson, Ala. and Valerie Harper and husband Earnest Hensley of Kingsport; fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy La Force of California, Leonard LaForce of Michigan, and Warren La Force of Maryland; sisters, Mildred Owens of Gate City, VA, Sylvia Wilmouth of Church Hill, TN, Naomi Benton of Gate City, VA, Marlene La Force of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7pm Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home 520 Watauga St. Kingsport.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 am Friday, November 16, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Brother William Gross and Pastor John Walters officiating. Music will be provided by Shirley Walters, Marita Brookshire and Jimmy Dean. The funeral service will be simultaneously web cast and can be viewed by visiting www.cartertrent.com
A Graveside Service will follow at 1 pm Friday at the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
