It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Jane Keating announces her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the age of 90 years.

She will be sadly missed by 7 sons: Joseph (Lydia) Keating of Stephenville, Melvin (Bernice) Keating of Brockville, Ontario, Sears (Carolyn) Keating of Stephenville, Carlos Keating of Brampton, Ontario, Michael (Bertha) Keating of Gander, Myles (Melinda) Keating of New Brunswick, Kevin (Brenda) Keating of Gander, 7 daughters: Mary (Robert) Gilliard of Brockville, Ontario, Marguerite Bardell of Brockville, Ontario, Pauline (Bob) Patton of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Ann (Derrick) Gilliard of Brockville, Ontario, Joan (Thomas) Benoit of Stephenville, Earleen (Robert) Hulan of Stephenville, Jean (Randy) Rozee of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, 1 brother: Douglas (Dinah) Hussey of Cox’s Cove and a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril J. Keating in 1986 and her parents, Alexander and Emma Noseworthy, her brothers, Stewart, Alpheus, and her sisters, Hilda and Phoebe.

Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville

Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
