Born in Laurens County, GA, on January 17, 1924, Julia moved to Florida with husband Bill in 1943. She worked at Lakeland Packing Company and Publix Warehouse, from which she retired in 1963. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church, working the Sunday school bus ministry for many years.
After retiring, Julia and Bill enjoyed many wonderful times in their home in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William D. Tyler. She is survived by son Dan Tyler (Judy), daughters June Munson and Janice Ramos (David), 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Lakeland Funeral Home. Visitation on Sunday 2-4 PM, Memorial Service on Monday at 11 AM, both in funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1945 N Florida Ave. Lakeland, FL 33805.
