Valentine Easterday--

Valentine EASTERDAY, 78, south of Gilead at 7:40 p.m. Thursday following a five-year illness. He had been a resident of Miami county his entire life, most of which was spent in farming.

The son of Joseph and Eliza (KINDLESPARKER) EASTERDAY he was born Oct. 1, 1875 in Miami county. He was married to Amanda Matilda ORDERS.

Survivors are his wife at home; one son, Alfred EASTERDAY of Macy; five daughters, Nellie DILSAVER and Edith GERRICK, both of Peru; Bertha MOYER of Silver Lake; Jane KINLEY of Marion and Ruth RAYMER of Chicago; three brothers, Amos [EASTERDAY] of Peru; Zack [EASTERDAY] of Rich Valley, and Fred [EASTERDAY] of Wabash; three sisters, Josephine RODABAUGH of Deedsville; Della WEASNER of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Nora SILLS, of Enumclaw, Wash.; twenty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Enterprise Church, Miami county. The Rev. Fremont GOLDEN, assisted by the Rev. YEAGER, will officiate, and burial will be in the Enterprise cemetery. Friends may call at the Moyer Haupert funeral home, Akron.
