Clarence Gordon Green, 76, of 314 Ohio Ave., New Boslon, died at 5:05 a.m. today at his home after an illness of several years.
He was whe falher of Scioto County Treasurer Ronald Greene.
Green, a retired employee of the steel plant, was born Sept. II, 1886, in Winchester, Ky., a son of Andrew Jackson Green and Zantippa Lockland Green.
He was married to the former Eva Plummcr on Ocl. 27, 1909. Surviving are his wife; the son; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth McDaniel, at home, and Mrs. Evelyn James, 1204 Bihlman Dr.; a sister, Mrs. Ben Mastin of Covington, Ky.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Green was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
He was a member of Local 2116 of United Steelworkers Union and of Winchester (Ky.) Presbyterian Church. Funeral services arc lo be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ohio Avenue Christian Church in New Boston. Rev. Harold Rice is lo officiale. Interment is to be Memorial Burial Park under direction of Pennington Funeral Home of New Boston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight and until noon Sunday when the body is to be moved to the church for services.
