Lucille Adell was born January 12, 1921, in Wales, ND, the daughter of William and Olivia (Fischer) Lynch. She lived in Wales until she was five years old when the family moved to Strasburg. She attended school in Strasburg and graduated from St. Benedict's High School in 1939. After graduation, she moved to Bismarck where she worked for the Gamble Store for several years. Lucille then wrote a teachers exam and taught school both east of Bismarck and south of Beulah until the war ended and her sweetheart returned.

Lucille married Nick V. Fetch on January 29, 1946, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, south of Beulah, and to this union, four children were born. The family lived in Beulah until 1957 when they moved to Bismarck. Lucille spent her time raising her family and decided to put her baking skills to work and went to work at the State Capitol lunch room for four years and then went to work at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for eleven years, until she retired in 1991.

Lucille was a member of St. Alexius Auxiliary for many years, the Senior Volunteer Program, a member of the Catholic Daughters for over thirty years, the St. Bernadette Mission Group, and the Homemaker's Club. Lucille and Nick were charter members of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

In her early years, Lucille loved to do ceramics and she loved to crochet and embroider, until her eyes got weak. She so loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lucille loved to bake and entertain company and play cards. Everyone coming to her home was always greeted with a smile, coffee and treats. When she could no longer bake and cook, she put her teaching skills to work and taught Nick.

Blessed to share her life are her two daughters, Elaine (Wayne) Lehde, Bismarck, and Kathryn (Lowell) Salhus, Ferndale, WA; two sons, Kenneth Fetch (Jeanne Bernhardt), Bismarck, and David Fetch, Bismarck; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; her parents; three sisters, Helen Skalasky, Dorothy Zahn, and Irene Reis; two brothers, Dennis and William Lynch; and two daughter-in-laws, Ronda Fetch and Joyce Fetch.
