Mississippi in 1940. Lived Lyons, Greene Co IN, but died while being cared for in Linton. Jenkins Funeral Home, but no obit and only a marker on the grave as of Nov 2012. Survived by wife Josephine. He also had two sisters, Nancy and Shirley, early in life. His was the DNA supplied to verify his line of Hanks ancestors, and the photo was taken by relative DLB the day the sample was obtained. His Hanks kin interested in genealogy are grateful for that documenting participation, and feel saddened by his death. His paternal great grandparents were John W. Hanks and Amanda Craven Hanks who lived years ago in Douglas Co. IL.
