A. W. Wilkins, who gives DOB as May 18, 1831 in Cleveland Co, NC, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted in 1863 in Taylor Co, GA with Co. A of the 8th Ga reserves and served 13 months. He surrendered in Macon, Ga in April 1865. He earned his living as a blacksmith, and his pension was at first denied because he owned some property.
