RINGGOLD, GA - Jack T. Berry, 81, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012.
A resident of the Ringgold, GA area for the past 62 years, he was formerly of Lyerly, GA.
Jack was a former employee of DuPont where he worked for 33 years, a veteran of the National Guard, of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Lyerly High School.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Berry; son-in-law, Allen Jones; parents, Bob and Rachel Chapman Berry; brothers, Donald, Carlton "Curly" and R.H. Berry; and sisters, Barbara Berry Salard and Mary Beth Dutto.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Love Berry, of Ringgold, GA; four daughters, Jackie (Bobby) Mathis, of Ringgold, GA, Janet Berry Jones, of Rossville, GA, Donna (Terry) Edwards, of Adairsville, GA and Kathy (Randy) Dodson of Flovilla, GA; sister, Hilda Jean Davis, of Summerville, GA; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday November 15, 2012, at the funeral home with Chaplain Ben Brychta officiating.
Interment will follow at Lyerly Cemetery in Lyerly, GA.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, GA.
