Born December 29, 1930 in Shelby, the daughter of the late Otis and Grace Kiser Hart. Jean spent 26 years with the Shelby School System, fist as an assistant librarian at Shelby Senior High School, then a secretary at Russell Elementary School. She was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, and volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her husband, Leo Spangler, whom she married on June 28, 1968; three sons and two daughter in laws, Kenneth and Cathie Albert, Todd and Lorna Albert, and Kurt Albert all of Shelby; two daughters and sons in law, Pam and Joe Wetton of Tussin, California, and Jodi and Merv Eichorn of Lexington; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a stepson and his wife, John and Patti Spangler of Mansfield. she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth W. Albert in 1961; brother Jimmy Hart, and sister Marjorie Kemp.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions made be made to Shelby Community Christmas Program and left in care of Turner Funeral Home, 168 W. Main St., Shelby, 44875. Email [email protected] for online condolences.
