Rev. Doyle Brown
CHESNEE--The Rev. Doyle Brown, 78, of 156 Turner Road died April 25, 1999 in White Oak Manor.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Lenior and Alice Brannon Brown. He was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. He was a retired textile employee. He was first married to the late Linnie Whitt Brown.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen T. Brown; a son, Jerry W. Brown of Ocala, Fla; three sisters, Faye Jolley of Spartanburg, Alice White of Cowpens, and Erline Revels of Merritt Island, Fla.; a brother, L. R. Brown of Columbia, a stepdaughter, Eleta Akins of Chesnee; a stepson, Royce Lindley of Gaffney; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Thompson Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Ron Gilbert and Dan Belcher. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be places in the church at 2 p.m.
The family is at the home.
