Bernice "Mimmie" Young, 92, formerly of Washburn, died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, 1995, at Monte Cassino Health Care Center in Toluca, where she was a resident.
Born March 7, 1903, in Meigs, Ga., to James Coy and Sarah Carolyn Rogers Robison.She married Austin Neal Young in December 1918. He died Dec. 9, 1970. She also was preceded in death by one son, James; five brothers; one sister; two grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca "Betty" Masters Egli of Washburn; one sister, Frances Duncan of Fernadina Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She worked in retail sales most of her adult life.
She attended Washburn United Methodist Church.
