FITZGERALD --- Services for C.A. "Pug" Eidson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Eidson, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000. He was the son of the late Ollie Newton and Mattie Willingham Eidson. A longtime resident of Fitzgerald, he was retired from the CSX Railroad
as an engineer. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Trainmen and Engineers and a founding member of Big Creek Hunting Club. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Mark Mathis Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Bing Eidson; children, Charles Eidson of Valdosta, Allan Eidson of Fairway, Kan., and Dona Gamble of Durham, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, Fitzgerald.
