Council Bluffs News - Mrs. Mary E. Berger, wife of Captain R. E. Berger, died late last evening at her home, 1007 Avenue D, from nervous prostration, aged 62 years. Deceased had been an invalid for three years. She came here with her husband in 1887 from Brownville, Neb. Her husband and four children, Hattie, Cora, Frank, and Mrs. Irene Knepher, survive her. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. The services will be conducted by Rev. R. Venting of the First Baptist church and interment will be in Walnut Hill cemetery.
