Fern Lucille Schlarbaum Stout, 90, of Danville, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Danville Care Center.
Mrs. Stout was born September 29, 1922 in Driggs, Idaho the daughter of Archie L. and Jessie Mae Hall Schlarbaum. On November 8, 1940 she married Claude Jackson "Jack" Stout, on Fern's family farm north of Danville. He died February 16, 2012. She was a homemaker and did clerical work for Emerson Electronics in Mt. Pleasant and Lehigh Leopold in Burlington. She was a 1940 graduate of Danville High School.
Mrs. Stout was a longtime member of the Danville Methodist Church where she was the organist. She was also a former member of the Batavia Methodist Church and Danville Eastern Star. She enjoyed music, sewing, and being home with her children.
Mrs. Stout is survived by three daughters, Cindy Davisson of Cedar Rapids, Susie Stout of Broad Run, VA, and Mary Lee Zapor of Rockville, MD; four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Shirley Diane Stout; one son, Gary Stout; two brothers and three sisters.
