EFFINGHAM — George Rembert Andrews, 56, a lifetime resident of Effingham, SC, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, in a Florence hospital.
Mr. Andrews was born in Florence Co., SC, a son of the late Ivy Lee and Eva Mae Smith Andrews.
Surviving are his brothers, John E. Andrews of Albuquerque, NM, and David Lee (Grethel) Andrews of Cayce, SC; sister-in-law, Wilma Andrews of Florence; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, a number of great-nephews and great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, at Evergreen Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
