MORTON - Normadell A. Post, 79, of Morton died at 11:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at her home.
She was born July 24, 1933, in Armington, Ill., to Shannon and Gladys (Bishop) Kindred. She married Koert Post on Nov. 18, 1950, in Lincoln, Ill.
Surviving are her husband of Morton; one son, Gary (Kathy) Post of Tremont; one daughter, Deb (Rich) Schofield of Morton; one grandson, Greg (Missy) Post of Eureka; five great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Aidan, Kody, Kiley and Cheyenne; two brothers, Leonard (Pat) Kindred of Morton and Burnell (Judy) Kindred of Cape Coral, Fla.; and two sisters, Eleanor Wellenreiter of Danvers and Carol (Mel) Benson of Tremont.
She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Gracie Rose; one brother, Wendell Kindred; and two sisters, Florine Marquardt and Marge Norton.
Normadell worked for Eurest Dining Service at the Morton Parts Distribution Center of Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1998.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be missed by her family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mountjoy Cemetery in rural Atlanta, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 530 NE Glen Oak Ave., Peoria, IL 61637 or to the Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association in care of Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 N. Missouri Ave., Morton, IL 61550.
