Sarah was the daughter of Felix Xavier and Mary "Alice" (McGuire) Beck. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War. She was a native of Cresson, PA, and died at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. Hayden Bracken in Johnstown, PA. She had one son, Hayden Vincent Bracken, who survived her at the time of her death. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
