Sullenberger, Aaron L. "Al" – age 82 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2012 with his wife and children by his side. He was long time member of Third Creek Baptist Church. Al served in the US Marine Corp in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was parts manager of a local GM dealership for 40 yrs. After his retirement he went to work for Autozone and worked and additional 12 years. Al was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Delia Sullenberger, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He is survived by his loving wife Billie K. Sullenberger; children: Cindy Sullenberger of Knoxville, TN, Teri (Kevin) Edmonson of Franklin, TN, Joseph "Joey" Sullenberger of Knoxville, and Penny Sullenberger (mother of Kendall and Natalie) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Preston and Aaron Edmonson of Franklin, TN and Kendall and Natalie Sullenberger of Knoxville, TN; sisters: Nancy (Carl) Huffer of Tampa, FL, Jackie (Bill) Price of Chattanooga, TN, Susan (Bobby) Fisher of Chattanooga, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care for their support. A celebration of Al's life will be held Monday November 12th, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel at 7:30pm with Dr. Rod Duncan officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11am Tuesday morning at Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Third Creek Baptist Church, 4917 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921 or Best Buddies Tennessee 116 Wilson Pike Circle, Ste 205, Brentwood, TN 37027 – In honor of Preston Edmonson.
