Jacab P. Bandy, 83, of Omega, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at home.
Born Nov. 5, 1911 in Beaver, a son of the late Frank Bandy and Stella BUtcher Bandy, he was a retired Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad laborer and a member of Omega Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Surviving are his wife, Fern Stephens Helton Bandy, whom he married Nov. 30, 1990; three sons, Jacob E. Bandy of Omega, Kenneth Bandy of Germany and Fred Bandy of Waverly; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Patty) Sears of Omega; three stepsons, Turman Helton and Robert E. Helton both of Beaver and Kenneth Helton of Piketon; five step-daughters, Mrs. John (Cynthia) Lemaster and Mrs. Carl (Georgia) Barnett, both of Beaver, Mrs. Dick (Celia) Shell and Mrs. John (Marilyn) Williams, both of Waverly, and Mrs. Jessie (Ruth) Smith of Lucasville; two brothers, Emmitt Bandy of Hilliard and Dwight Bandy of Waverly; a sister, Ruth Rowe of Mechanicsburg; a grandson, Steve Holton, wo Waverly, whom he reared; 25 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Bandy; a son, W. Thomas Bandy; two daughters, Jane Snyder and Catherine Marvel; two grandsons and a great grandson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Marion Conkel and Rev. Walter Snyder officiating and interment in Omega Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the services Saturday.
