Illness of Year Takes Life of Wichita Man, 83
William E. Pennington, 83, 109 1/2 W. Second, died Monday in in a local hospital following an illness of one year.
Mr. Pennington was born May 16, 1874, in Kentucky, and came to Wichita from Kentucky 40 years ago. He was a retired sheet metal man.
Survivors include three sons, Claude M., 1725 W. 27th North; Clyde F., 723 Everett; Max C., Babbit. Nev.; two, sisters, Mrs. Nan White and Mrs. Eutha Grace, both of Holbrook, Ariz.; two brothers, Harve K., Auburn, Wash.; and Jeff, of Blue Rapids, Kan. Seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Culbertson Mortuary chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Robert Cope, pastor of the University Friends Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
