He is survived by his 3 sons, Justin (17), Zachary (10) and Lucas (7) and his mother, Jeannine Blowers Svenson. He was a natural born entrepeneur and master markerter. Brett was the creator, developer and co-founder of The Healthy Trucking Association of America, the nation's first and largest provider of health and wellness for the nation's truck drivers. He was named to the prestigious N.I.O.S.H., a leadership board for safety, in Washington, DC.
Brett was a star football player on the 1978 State Championship Jefferson Davis High School football team. He was rewarded for his athletic talents with a football scholarship from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. While there he pledged Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He then graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business and Marketing. Brett will long be remembered by parents and their children for his active involvement and coaching of many of their Dixie Youth Baseball teams.
He was member of First United Methodist Church of montgomery, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Scott Young, John Gifford, Brian Peterson, Jim Deal, Jason Maddox and Jack Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Lane, Bill Gordon and Jim Sherlock.
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday,October 26, 2012 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with services at 3:00 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Chapel. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
