Mildred Stiles Lapham, in her 100th year, passed away June 15, 2005, at her home in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Born in Troy, N.Y., May 22, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. Stiles Jr. and Ellen M. Sherman Stiles.

Mrs. Lapham was a graduate of Syracuse University and worked as a hospital dietitian for several years. Her work career was completed at New York Hospital as the personnel director.

Mrs. Lapham was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Palm Beach, Fla.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Foster H. Platt M.D., and her second husband, Bryon J. Lapham Sr., who died in 1990; a half sister, Edna Jean Stiles McKee.

Mrs. Lapham is survived by several first cousins in New York state; two nieces, in Sarasota, Fla.; two grandnieces and a grandnephew. Also surviving are two stepsons, Bryon J. Lapham Jr. of Greenwich, and Thomas H. Lapham of Queensbury. She is also survived by five stepgrandchildren and their families.

A graveside interment service will be held at the Bay Street Cemetery, Glens Falls, at the convenience of the family.
