She was born June 7, 1886 at DeWitt, Nebraska. She grew to womanhood on a farm near DeWitt. June 2, 1907, she was united in marriage to Dan U Morford who preceded her in death in September 1947. Several years after their marriage they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she has since resided.
She is survived by one sister, and three brothers, namely, Mrs. Ruth Creach, Jansen, Carl Hawes, Beatrice, Robert Hawes, DeWitt, and Lloyd Hawes, Argyle, Iowa, also many nieces and nephews. Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 4, at 10 A.M. in St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, with E. A. St. John officiating. Internment Oak Grove Cemetery.
