Funeral Services for Thomas Bost Held in Rountree
Thomas Bost, 75, well-known and highly respected resident of this county died of a heart seizure Thursday noon, October 28, while in the yard near his home. His lifeless body was discovered by his wife. Mr. Bost had been in failing health for two years or more, having been afflicted with a serious heart condition but his death came as a shock to his many relatives and friends.
Mr. Bost had lived practically all of his life in Rountree Township where his death occurred. He had been a prominent farmer of that community for many years. The home of the deceased and his wife was located near St. John's Church in Rountree Township.
Thomas Bost was a son of the late Daniel and Amanda Bost of the same community where his death occurred. He was born November 27, 1872 and lived on and near the place of his birth until his death. When a young man he was married to Emma Nussman and they spent their entire married life in the farm home where he died.
Mrs. Bost and one son, Ross Bost, survives. Their son lives on a farm near that of his parents. The deceased also leaves two brothers and three sisters. They are: George of Nokomis, Fred of Detroit, Mrs. Ella Cruze of Hillsboro, Mrs. Artie Lipe of Irving and a sister, Gertrude who married years ago and with her family resides in Wyoming. He was preceded in death three years ago by his brother Charles, who then lived in California.
The body was removed to the Stauder and Hoehn Funeral home.
