Dominick Kyea, of Au Sable Forks, New York, died October 28, 1918 at the Champlain Valley Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. He was taken to the hospital with a severe case of the Spanish influenza, which was at epidemic proportions throughout the country.

He was born June 8, 1880, in New York state, the son of Jeremiah and Rosalie (Demar) Kyea. He was a laborer in the J. & J. Rogers Company paper mill in Au Sable Forks.

He was survived by his wife, Priscilla (Shipman) Kyea, a son, Jeremiah Wallace Kyea, an adopted daughter, Alta M., his mother, and a number of brothers and sisters.

Burial was in Holy Name cemetery in Au Sable Forks.
