Harry W. McClain, proprietor of the McClain Hotel in St. Thomas died in the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Sunday morning where he had been undergoing treatment for valvular heart trouble for the past 7 weeks. Mr. McClain had been in the hospital several months ago and had apparently improved in health and had returned to his home for 6 weeks.
He was 39 years old and had been proprietor of the hotel in St. Thomas for the past 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Lautsbaugh McClain and four children: Mildred, Beatrice, Winnifred and John, all at home. Also his father, J. W. McClain, a hotel keeper in Roxbury; a sister, Mrs. John Leidig of Chambersburg, and one brother, Charles McClain, proprietor of the Fort Loudon Hotel.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Croft. Interment at Norland cemetery, Chambersburg.
