Born Margaretha Guenther on 15 May 1873 in Bad Duerkheim, Pfalz, Bavaria to Friedrich Wilhelm Guenther and his wife Anna Maria Mesel according to Germany Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898, she was later known as Margaret. The family, including an older brother Wilhelm and younger sister, Elisabeth migrated to the US on the Pollux in 1881 settling outside Paris, Arkansas. Margaret married Tobias Post in 1899. Together they would have five children including Anna,Frederick William, and Louise, all born in Arkansas, Theresa, who was born in Texas, and Clara, born in Florida.
