SHARON, Tenn. --- Services for MRS. LAVERNE JACOBS PENN, 74, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home with the Revs. Kermit Brown and Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will be in Stovall Cemetery near Rives, Tennessee. Mrs. Penn, widow of Glenn Penn, died on Monday morning at the home of a nephew, Floyd Jacobs, near Rives after a short illness. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sharon, Tennessee. She was co-owner and operator of Penn's Grocery in the Hop-In community near the Weakley-Obion county line.
