The earliest census records indicate she was born in about 1848, but she kept "getting younger" in nearly every census thereafter. Her death record lists her age at death as only 34 (a birth year of 1861) which is clearly incorrect since she appears in the 1850 census, and would have only been 8 years of age at the time of her marriage, when in 1869, she married James David Nicholson.
