Annie Dickinson
Annie D. Dickinson, 82, of Bandera died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 in a San Antonio hospital. She was born July 7, 1919 in Dewitt County to Teofel and Lucy Anne Warwas Pawvlik.
She married Edwin Uriah Dickinson in Cuero on March 23, 1940. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1970.
Mrs. Dickinson faithfully served as the nursery attendant at the Bandera United Methodist Church for many years and was loved by children and appreciated by their parents.
Survivors include one son, Samuel Edwin Dickinson and wife Sherry of Seguin, one sister, Catherine 'Katie' and husband Joe Winkler of San Antonio, two grandsons, one granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Leon T. Pawvlik. A rosary was held Monday at 7 p.m. at Grimes Chapel and the funeral mass was on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Stan Oleksy officiating. Interment followed in the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Neal Dalton, Dr. Louis Dubose, Dr. Conrad Nightingale, Sully Woodland, Al Kindla and Kenneth Pawvlik. Arrangements were under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.
