Mrs. Fannie Thigpin Bauer, age 86, one of the city's oldest and most highly esteemed residents, died here early Tuesday morning, after an extended illness.
The deceased was born and reared in this city, and here she had spent the greater part of her long and useful life. She is survived by two sons, Grover A. Bauer of Palatka, and Arthur F. Bauer of Miami; and two brothers, Charles and Calvin Thigpin of Barberville, Fla.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from St. Mark's Episcopal church, with Rev. T. W. Tayloe officiating.
Interment was in Oak Hill East Cemetery, under the direction of W. Carl Davis and Son. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 31 Mar 1939.)
