In Loving Memory

Jimmy Joe was a gift from God. He was a special son and brother that God entrusted to our Family. His innocent smile and charming personality captured friends, neighbors, relatives and spouses who came into the family. All adored and loved Jimmy Joe. Jimmy Joe was a special boy.

Jimmy Joe was a 57 year old man severely afflicted with Down syndrome.

He spoke very little. Yet he was the greatest of communicators.

There was so much he didn't understand. Yet he gave us understanding. An understanding of what is truly important in life.

Jim's ways were not our ways. To us he may look imperfect. Yet he was flawless.

God gave Jim a gift that He denied the rest of us. Eternal innocence.

Jim had an important purpose. Not so much to learn. But to teach.

Some may think we chose him. But it was he who chose us.

Thank you, Jimmy Joe. Thank you.
