Mr. Geist was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Fairview, Oklahoma. On May 5, 1950 he marrried Evelyn Harris. He lived in Newell before moving to Cherokee four years ago, where he was employed by Wilson & Co.
He was a member of the Amalgamated Meatcutters Union. Surviving him are his wife, Evelyn of the Good Samaritan nursing home in Newell; son, Johnny of Cherokee; his mother, Mrs. Mary Geist of Sulphur Springs, Ark.; and two sisters, Mrs. Aleta Rodgers of Kansas City, Mo. and Lavella Murry also of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas.
