William Henry Poorbaugh, 70, of Corriganville, Md., died Jan. 14, 1973, at his residence. A native of Meyersdale, he was a son of Mrs. Annie (Martz) Poorbaugh and the late Harvey E. Poorbaugh. He was a former resident of Wellersburg.
Also surviving are his wife, the former Maude G. Robinette; three children, Earl E. Poorbaugh, LaVale; Mrs. Harry Scritchfield, Mechanicsburg; and Mrs. John L. Clauson, Corriganville; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl R. Poorbaugh, Baltimore; and a sister, Mrs. Myles Matthews, Mt. Savage RD 1. He was a retired painting contractor and was a life member of Painters Local 947. He was also a member of christ Lutheran Church, LaVale, and of the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral service was conducted Wednesday morning in Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with Rev. Albert R. Burkhardt officiating. Interment in Zion Memorial Cemetery.
