Betty Josephie Ammon, 85. of Salisbury, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at her home.

Betty Jo was born November 14, 1926 at Miami, Mississippi, the daughter of James William and Jo Trixie Pence Woolston. She graduated from the Miami High School in 1944,. She was married to George Fred Ammon on
October 2, 1953 at Harrison, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2012.

She had worked as a secretary at the Temple Stephens Grocery at Moberly, and owned and operated Ammon Floral at Salisbury, and had been active in farming. She was a member of the C & R Liners Extension Extensions Club at Salisbury.

She is survived by two sons, Fred Eugene ammon of Booneville, and Alan Ray Ammon of Salisbury; one brother, Dale Woolston of Warsaw; two sisters, anna Mary Srader of Indeendencem, and Sarah Breshears and husband Harold of Brunswick, three sister in law's, Murle Woolston, of Brunswick, Almira Stephens, of Brookfield, and Doris Tiemeyer of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death y her parents, one brother, and two sisters, and one son, Barry Lynn Ammon wh died in 1984.

Funeral services were held at the Breashears Memorial Chapel, Brunswick, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 wutg Gail Brown officiating. Burial was in the East Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at Salisbury.

Pallbearers were Rick Woolston, don Breshears, Gary Woolston, clarence Jackson, John Kehr and andy Cornilsen.

Memorials may be made to Chariton County Sheltered Workshop or Howard County Hospce or American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W Broadway, Brunswick, Missouri 65236.
