"Mrs. Margaret E. Hagenhoff, 95, of Meta, died Wednesday at the St. Mary's Health Center. Mrs. Hagenhoff was born Oct. 13, 1879, near Koeltztown, daughter of Joseph and Caroline Wulff Bax. On April 26, 1897, she was married to Liborius Hagenhoff, who died in 1954. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Meta and a member of the Ladies Sodality of the church.
Survivors include: eight sons, Ben Hagenhoff, Leo Hagenhoff and Fred Hagenhoff all of Meta, Joe Hagenhoff of Vienna, Adolph Hagenhoff of St. Elizabeth, Paul Hagenhoff of Boonville Road, Raymond Hagenhoff of Westphalia, Anton Hagenhoff of Morrison. One daughter; Mrs. Ida Massman of Meta; 40 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A rosary will be prayed at 8 pm /Friday at the Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel, Meta. Services are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday at the St. Cecelia Church with Msgr. Ralph Kutz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery." (Source: Obituary in Mid-Missouri newspaper, January 1975)
