Albert J. Branch Jr., retired inspector for Memphis Fire Department, died Tuesday of heart disease at his home.

Burial in Ecru City Cemetery.

He was a World War II and Korean War Army veteran and a member of Ingomar Baptist Church.

Mr. Branch, the husband of Louise Duncan Branch, also leaves two sons, Barry D. Branch of Como and Vann J. Branch of Sardis; a stepdaughter, Patricia White Thames of Bartlett, TN; a stepson, James Glynn White of Memphis; two sisters, Louise Carter of Wichita, KS and Alberta Reed of Ecru; a brother, Rev. Billy Branch of Kenai, Alaska, and a stepbrother, Rev. Chalmus McMillen of Lakeland, FL; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
