Mrs. Ella Menning, 88, of Orange City, died Thursday in Orange City Municipal Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Trinity Reformed Church. The Rev. Donald R. Lenderink will officiate. Burial will be in Newkirk Cemetery at Newkirk. Family visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City. Mrs. Menning, the former Ella Mouw, was born Feb. 18, 1896, in Matlock. She married Ralph Menning Dec. 14, 1922, in Newkirk. They farmed South of Newkirk. He died Sept. 29, 1945. She moved to Orange City April 20, 1981. She entered the George Community Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church and its Ladies Aid Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Geraldine) Aberson of Alton, and Wilmer (Rosella) Jiskoot of George; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
