Creswell, Oral Ruth – age 92 of Knoxville, formerly of Strawberry Plains, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Former active member of the Order of Eastern Star in Kingsport, TN. Graduate of Peabody College for teachers in Nashville, TN. She taught school for over 35 years in Sullivan County, TN. She will always be remembered as being loving and supportive to all her family, smart, witty and always available to lend a helping hand. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Hullette, Kingsport, TN, and Wallace Creswell, Alcoa, TN; parents, Ancil and Etta Meredith of Jacksboro, TN; and brother, Paul Meredith of Knoxville, TN. She is survived by her brother, John Meredith and wife Eveline; sisters, Electra Brogden, and Carolyn Poole; sister-in-law, Ada Meredith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 3:00 PM entombment in the Court of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum with Rev. Mike Vincent officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's of Tennessee, 2270 Sutherland Avenue, Ste. 202, Knoxville, TN 37919.
