Mediapolis (IA) -- Ralph A. Brenneke, 76, Mediapolis, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the Floyd Brown residence here.

He was born May 30, 1897, in Des Moines county, the son of Herman and Anna Broeker Brenneke. A farmer, he was a member of Oak Street Baptist church, Burlington, a World War I veteran, and member of American Legion.

Surviving: Two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Dawson, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Carrie Brenneke, Portland, Oregon; three brothers, Harvey, Oregon, Earl, California, and Clifford, Idaho.

Funeral: 1 p.m., [Saturday] Fry Chapel, Mediapolis, Reverend Raymond Moore; Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington.
