EDITH G. HUFF, 92 BELVIDERE - Edith G. Huff, 92, of Belvidere died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Maple Crest Care Centre. Born April 2, 1920, in Rockford, daughter of Paul and Sophie (Johnson) Anderson. She married William R. Huff on Nov. 29, 1949, in Rockford; he died Aug. 9, 1969. Edith worked as an inspector at National Lock Company for 28 years, retiring in 1982. She is survived by sons, Thomas (Helen) Boettcher of Belvidere, Gerald (Jean) Boettcher of California and William (Mary) Huff of Rockford; brother, Roy Anderson of Massachusetts; sister, Gladys Williams of Rockford; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by brother, Walter Anderson.
Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with the Rev. Stephen Klemp officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61102.
